Specific responsibilities include:
- Project Management: Oversee the project, ensuring that it is completed on time and within budget, including managing the project timeline, budget, stakeholders and resources.
- Product Development: Work with internal and external stakeholders to develop a student- and educator-focused product: a robotic arm that will be used to support a unit of Algebra II curriculum in classrooms. This will include iterative product testing and incorporation of feedback.
- Curriculum Design & Development: Play a key role in the design and development of this curriculum, including collaborating with a team of educators and industry experts to craft engaging and authentic learning experiences.
- Support Material Development: Oversee the creation of support materials, such as teacher-facing and student-facing guides, videos, and a website for the community of teachers and students.
- Impact Measurement: Work with staff and partners to measure the impact of the learning experience on participants.
Required Qualifications:
We are seeking a candidate with the following qualifications:
- Strong Project Management Skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Professional project management experience for at least five years.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and efficiently manage complex projects.
- Excellent attention to detail. Meticulous approach to data entry, recordkeeping, and administrative tasks.
- Technical & Product Development Expertise
- Strong understanding of hardware and software development processes, particularly in R&D for educational tools
- Experience collaborating with third-party developers, serving as the bridge between curriculum writers, product development teams, and instructional design teams
- Familiarity with robotics, engineering, and emerging educational technologies is highly desirable
- Instructional / Curriculum Expertise
- Deep understanding of the high school mathematics educational landscape.
- Worked for at least three years as an educator and/or in curriculum design.
- Experience working with educational or instructional technologies.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build and maintain strong relationships with staff and other advisers.
- Eagerness to learn and develop professionally, both independently and through collaboration with others.
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., STEM, education).
