Dear NYC FIRST Community,
On March 12, with the health and safety of the community as top priority, FIRST announced the difficult decision to suspend the remainder of the 2019/2020 FIRST season.
As of May 13, FIRST has officially cancelled the remainder of the FIRST RISE season. While we're sad to see the season end this way, we're still very grateful to have shared it with you all and seen all of the amazing work you've put in across all programs.

NYC FIRST has been actively monitoring the outbreak of COVID-19 in our local community, and are continuing to keep a close eye on the situation.
As a result of the evolving coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, the New York City Regional, the FRC Hudson Valley Regional and FLL Final have been postponed until further notice. This is frustrating for all of us, and the decision was made with the health and safety of our community in mind. We recognize that teams have put an enormous amount of work into preparing for this event, and we regret having to share such disappointing news. We are looking at all of our options, including rescheduling the event to a later date, and we will share information with you as we know more.
